Duplex Fuel Oil Pump Set
These fully integrated, engineered, self-contained, pre-packaged and pre-wired package pumping systems are the perfect answer to meet today’s high performance and reliability standards found in commercial, industrial and institutional applications. With a wide range of flow rates, our pumping systems provide a reliable means for the transfer of fuel to oil burners, day tanks or emergency generators where system head pressures range from 0 to 200 PSI.
What do they do?
• Provides a control and pump solution for moving fuel and/or fluids through your system when it is needed.
Why do I need them?
• Duplex pump set provide redundant protection against system failure by providing 2 pumps that work in Lead / Lag operations or Lead / Lag / Simultaneous operation.
Typical Applications?
· The movement of fuel from main storage tank(s) direct to one or more boilers or generators via piping loop.
· The movement of fuel from main storage tank(s) to Day Tank(s) or sub-base generator tank(s)/belly tank(s).
· The return of fuel from one or more standalone day tank(s) to the main tank(s).
How do they work?
· Calls for fuel will be processed by the controller built into the pump set
· The pumps are activated to move the fuel
· The controller will monitor main tank level or use tank level information from a tank monitor to stop the pumps in a critical low condition to protect against pump failure
· Systems are capable of working to 10-200 PSI
· Systems are designed with GPM capabilities of 1 to 120 GPM and from 0.5 to 15 horsepower
Systems are available in single or three phase, 50 or 60 Hertz. Flow rates listed below are based on 1725 RPM, 60 Hertz motors 50 SSU. Please consult us for other types of fuels or other pressure ratings.
